Round Table - Collaborative, sustainable and resilient supply chain: an end-to-end vision

INDUSTRY ARENA hall 7

Demand volatility, supply disruptions, cost pressures, sustainability goals, and rising customer expectations are pushing companies to rethink the supply chain beyond the boundaries of a single organization. Today, ensuring operational continuity and competitiveness requires greater integration between production, suppliers, sub-suppliers, logistics operators, transportation, inventory, distribution channels, and customers.
The roundtable, coordinated by the Department of Management of the University of Verona, will offer a dialogue between companies and scientific research on how to build more collaborative, sustainable, and resilient supply chains capable of increasing end-to-end visibility, improving coordination among partners, and making decisions faster and more informed.
Particular attention will be paid to the role of digitalization, Artificial Intelligence, and data analytics — tools that are increasingly relevant for anticipating demand, managing inventory, reducing inefficiencies and risks, improving service levels, and supporting the decarbonization of logistics processes.

The event will address the following topics:
* the development of resilient and collaborative supply chains;
* the balance between push and pull logic in contexts characterized by uncertain demand;
* the digitalization of the order process and replenishment activities;
* sustainability and decarbonization of logistics;
* balancing service level, costs, and productivity in the face of increasingly demanding customers;
* the use of Artificial Intelligence and data analytics to support predictive decisions.

Through the exchange of corporate experiences and contributions from university research, the roundtable aims to bring out concrete models of digital collaboration among customers, suppliers, and logistics partners, highlighting organizational and technological solutions already applicable to improve the responsiveness of the entire supply chain.
The session will be moderated by Prof. Ivan Russo of the University of Verona and scientific coordinator of RIR Rivelo in logistica and will conclude with an open debate with the audience, dedicated to sharing experiences, challenges, and best practices to guide companies toward a more integrated, efficient, sustainable, and resilient supply chain management.
