Round Table - Structural integrity: when inspections save our lives

TECH ARENA hall 7

The safety, durability and reliability of modern infrastructures are inextricably linked to the ability to monitor the degradation of materials without altering their physical integrity or operational functionality. In this scenario, Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) represents the first line of defence against catastrophic failures.

Such events, if not prevented, can cause incalculable economic losses and, above all, tragic outcomes in terms of human lives. High-risk sectors such as aerospace, railway, petrochemical and civil engineering systematically rely on these inspections to ensure continuity of operations in complete safety.

Through the use of advanced methodologies, it is possible to identify internal and surface defects before they turn into structural failures.
