Infrastructure and WMS: how to manage the complexity of multi-client operations
A single design to make different processes, technologies and clients coexist.
In a multi-client logistics hub, what happens when each principal imposes different rules, flows and KPIs? And above all: how do you manage different needs without complicating warehouse operations?
The Iron Log case stems from a concrete challenge: managing a 60,000 sqm hub, heterogeneous clients and operational peaks through a single architecture. The project was developed from the outset by connecting network infrastructure, WMS and field operations.
But how does this approach translate into day-to-day operations? What are the real benefits and limitations in the field? Iron Log will be here to share this experience with us, bringing the perspective of those who manage the facility today.

From warehouse to finished product, without islands: MES as the connecting link between ERP and the production department
When production is managed with Excel spreadsheets and handwritten labels, the warehouse loses control of what is picked and consumed, traceability breaks down and every anomaly is discovered too late. Regesta Group presents the case of an Italian manufacturing company with an international presence and highly complex production in niche markets, which chose SAP Digital Manufacturing to connect the production department to the SAP S/4HANA ERP.
The story follows the project's journey: the initial critical issues (no MES, fragmented data, poor visibility on picked materials), the approach adopted (on-site analysis with operators and department managers) and the results: material requests and consumption under control, tracking of every component from the warehouse to the finished product, quality monitored in real time and a completely paperless environment. A concrete example of how to digitise production without stopping it, starting from real needs and building an integrated, standard and scalable architecture for other plants.
