Plug Fest

When different technologies start speaking the same language

On 27 and 28 October, at A&T Vicenza, live demos and practical applications will showcase the full potential of integrating multi-vendor technologies.
 

For the very first time at A&T Vicenza, ANIE Automazione is bringing the Plug Fest, a dedicated demonstration area focused on interoperability in industrial automation. Across two days of live demos, integrated technologies, and real-world use cases, visitors will see how hardware devices and software applications from various vendors can seamlessly communicate and work together.

 

Join us on 27 and 28 October 2026 at Area G15 – Hall 7, Fiera di Vicenza

 

At the heart of the demo area will be two application setups designed to highlight the benefits and power of the OPC UA standard: Energy Management e PACKML e OPC UA FX.

 

These two live applications will demonstrate how true interoperability translates into more integrated information management and enhanced communication capabilities across automation systems.

The Plug Fest was created to bring interoperability from theory into practice through live demos, integrated setups, and tangible use cases. It complements the conference organised by ANIE Automazione's PLC-I/O, HMI-IPC-SCADA, and OPC UA working groups, titled "Beyond the Edge: Interoperability, AI, and Cybersecurity in Industrial Automation", taking place in Sala Giotto on 28 October at 10:00 AM.

Alongside the live demos, the Plug Fest area offers the opportunity to meet experts from participating companies, explore the topics covered during the conference talks, and discuss the latest trends in industrial automation technologies. It’s an ideal setting to discover how multi-vendor solutions can interact and work together by leveraging open standards and driving greater automation system integration
